Google Launched a CC AI Agent for Families
Google Labs has introduced a new version of CC, its experimental AI agent designed to help families and households manage everyday logistics. The update expands CC from a personal assistant into a shared household agent that can coordinate schedules, tasks, and information across multiple people.
What’s New?
CC now has its own verified Google Account, allowing up to six household members to collaborate with it while maintaining a clear permissions model. Each person chooses what CC can access, such as school emails, sports schedules, travel details, veterinary appointments, or shared files.
The agent creates a shared “Your Day Ahead” briefing each morning, highlighting where family members need to be, upcoming tasks, and actions CC completed previously. It can also identify important dates and automatically update shared Google Calendar events and Task lists as plans change.
CC can take action on behalf of the household with permission. Examples include filling out permission slips and activity-registration PDFs, creating school-supply shopping lists, preparing weekly meal plans and producing shared Docs or Sheets.

- Google service integration: The agent works with Gmail, Google Chat, Docs, Drive, and Calendar. It can also use Google Maps data for tasks such as checking travel times.
- Privacy controls: Each member decides what CC can access. The agent responds only to household members and does not share information or act externally without permission.
- Gemini-powered infrastructure: Each CC agent runs on an isolated cloud computer using Google’s Antigravity agentic harness and Gemini models
Privacy and Integrations
Google says CC only responds to members of the household group and will not share information or act outside the group without permission. Users can automatically share messages from selected senders, such as a child’s school, or manually forward individual emails, text messages, images, and files to CC.
The agent works with Google services including Gmail, Google Chat, Docs, Drive and Calendar. Google says each CC runs on an isolated cloud computer using its Antigravity agentic harness and the latest Gemini models. It also has shared memory, helping it distinguish household-wide information from personal details such as dietary preferences or individual time zones.
CC remains an early Google Labs experiment. It is available on the web and mobile for people aged 18 and over in the United States with a personal Google Account. Existing users are expected to receive upgrade invitations, while new users can join the waitlist.
