Penguin algorithm is an algorithm created by Google on web spam. Penguin algorithm, which examines from keyword stuffing and backlink studies, aims for a better user experience by eliminating spam pages.
The first version of the Penguin algorithm was published on April 24, 2012.
The update focuses on the content written for SEO purposes on the pages and the in-site links designed as an SEO tactic. It considers links given over keyword stuffing status and any words unrelated to the content as spam.
The opposite of white hat SEO is called Black Hat Web Spam. Google uses the concept of web spam to distinguish it from email spam.
